Dreaming Without Action is Futile by Joshua J. Warren
Dreams need action in order to materialize. Although we might be good people, if we dream big but fail to plan and act as big as we dream we are setting ourselves up to fail.
As humans it is important to have dreams. We are supposed to have a vision of what we want to be, the things we want to do, etc. but having a vision without the proper action behind it only delivers us heartache and stress. I'm sure we have all heard James 2:17 which says, so also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. This passage is telling us that our dreams aren't just going to fall out of the sky, and believing that they will without putting forth the proper action is foolish.
Hebrews 11:1 says, Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen. This means that faith is knowing something is real or will take take place even when there is no physical evidence. It is action that must accompany faith to springboard it from a dream to reality. Think about it. Faith, in the physical realm, is nothing so we must add something physical to bring that thing from the dimensions of our consciousness into our reality. In short, if you want to see your dreams come true, you have to do some work.
I like to think of faith as the will to achieve something or the belief that something will happen. If we don't put forth any action then it will lack the evidence needed to make it real. So for instance, if one says that they see themselves performing surgeries to help others suffering with ailments, but never put forth any effort to apply for school, enroll in classes, learn the material, pass their tests, earn the degrees, practice the techniques, apply for the job/start the business then they are only dreaming. Write your vision down on paper or type it and print it out, that brings it over to this plane where it now serves you. Breaking the vision down into the necessary steps required to achieve it generates your plan of action. After creating the plan, the next step is performing the action to support it.
So last week we discussed how thoughts fuel feelings, feelings fuel actions and actions fuel results. Faith is the thought of having something or wanting to do something. How much faith you have in your dreams generates either positive or negative feelings which either motivate you to execute or hinders you. The objective would be to get to the place where you can feel good about your dreams. This is having faith in them. We may not have all the answers or know exactly how it is going to happen step by step, but having faith in our dreams helps to feed our feelings of achieving. Once we choose to work through the doubts and fears that may come up because of the magnitude of our dreams, that is when the magic starts to happen. Fear is "false evidence appearing real," and faith as we have learned is "evidence of things unseen." This means that if you walk in faith and work through the fear you can achieve anything. Fear is just used to keep you comfortable, but it is in the discomfort that you grow and rise.
We have the freedom to be whatever we wish, do whatever we think and create whatever we can conceive. All we have to do is have faith and apply the work. Allow your dreams to take root and believe that you can do all things that you wish to. After getting there, the work begins. You are not alone in your efforts and it takes time and energy to see it through but once it's done, the satisfaction you will have of physically seeing what you envisioned in your mind will be well worth it. See, believe, act and achieve.
